i notice lots of people have problems with legumes. they promote vata.

in India you will see we cook them lots of liquid and spices. pungent or aromatic spices. and we cook them well with a fat present.

they have lots of fibre and other factors that can make them hard to break down. get your agni up. maybe take bitters before the meal. you can also take digestive enzymes with the meal.

but slowly get your body used to more fibre while enkindling agni at the same time. don't rush it.

but if they still don't agree with you then don't eat them. lots of other good sources of protein.
