The more I thought about this, the more I question if homeopathy is herbal medicine. Then we have to distinguish between homeopathy and herbal medicine, as they are not the same. While both may use plant-derived substances, homeopathy often employs highly diluted preparations of materials that are toxic in their natural state.
To prevent accidental poisoning, any recommendation for a homeopathic preparation should be explicitly identified as "homeopathic" and not be confused with an herbal therapy. Misrepresenting a homeopathic use for a toxic plant as an herbal one can lead to dangerous or fatal outcomes, particularly for children.
The problem is that in most people's minds, especially people outside of the herbal community, they don't see a fundamental difference between a homeopathic remedy and a herbal one. And why should they? It's not really taught to them in any meaningful way.
I just don't know what to call homeopathy then. Experimental medicine? Energetic effect medicine?
