This thread will be used to discuss iatrogenesis.

Wikipedia defines iatrogenesis as:

Iatrogenesis is the causation of a disease, a harmful complication, or other ill effect by any medical activity, including diagnosis, intervention, error, or negligence.

The point is not to try and paint modern Western health care as all bad or unnecessary. The ideal model is one where herbalist and health care professionals work together and refer to each other. However and unfortunately, there are many issues with modern health care and attention must be given to these.
