This thread will be used to organize information about atrial fibrillation.

Medscape has an unusually insightful article for a mainstream medical publication titled Atrial Fibrillation Care: Put the Catheter (and Rx Pad) Down: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/842739?src=sttwit

I see that Matthew Wood, under his page about Lemon Balm, lists atrial fibrillation (within a specific context -- see his page for more): http://www.woodherbs.com/LemonBalm.html

ScienceDaily has an article titled Vitamin C may decrease risk of atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/02/170201141939.htm

This 2010 study concludes that "Diabetes was associated with higher risk of developing atrial fibrillation, and risk was higher with longer duration of treated diabetes and worse glycemic control." This leads one to wonder if managing metabolic syndrome is not also a way to treat or prevent atrial fibrillation.

This is apparently happening way more now. I will have to find the paper I found showing that it's way on the increase in the population.
