About

About the Herb Forum

Herb Forum was created out of a deep respect for nature and a shared belief in the wisdom of traditional healing. Our mission is to bring together people from around the world who are passionate about herbs, plant medicine, and natural approaches to health, and to provide a permanent home for that knowledge to grow and be preserved.

Our Purpose

1. A Global Herbal Community

Herb Forum is a gathering place for herbalists, growers, researchers, and those simply curious about the healing power of plants. We share news, discoveries, and discussions from across the global herbal world, from grass-roots traditions to modern research.

2. A Living Archive of Herbal Knowledge

Unlike social media feeds that fade with time, Herb Forum is built to last. Our goal is to provide a space where thoughtful discussions, practical insights, and traditional wisdom can be recorded, searched, and revisited for years to come. This is a home for serious herbal conversation, not a fleeting trend.

3. Free and Open for All

Many herbal communities have come and gone, and valuable information has been lost in the process. Herb Forum exists to ensure that doesn’t happen again. The site is free to use, free to join, and dedicated to remaining accessible to all who wish to learn, share, and connect. We have a long-term continuance plan.

Our Spirit

Herb Forum isn’t just a website. It’s a living expression of love for nature and the healing gifts it offers. We believe in the value of open dialogue, careful observation, and respect for the many traditions of herbalism around the world as well as the scientific approach and the knowledge it produces.

Whether you are a professional herbalist, a student, or simply someone who feels the quiet pull of the green world, you are welcome here. Together, we can keep this knowledge alive and growing while being rooted in community, nourished by curiosity, and guided by the spirit of nature itself.

Herb Forum was launched on July 23rd, 2022 by Matthew Capowski, a life-long student traditional medicine.
